It's intended to serve policymakers, product-managers, and platform executives by illustrating the connections between feature design choices and harms, and cataloguing changes (interventions) that have been proposed to reduce harm through voluntary action or legislation.
This site is a project of the Integrity Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to safeguard the social web. It is intended as a wiki - a living document that can be edited and improved by anyone. While it is maintained and edited by a few members of the Integrity Institute, it is open to contributions from anyone.
The project was started in June of 2023 by a visiting fellow, Grady Ward. The motivation for the project was described here at the time of the project's publication, in late 2023.
